Assignment 2 - Integration Final Project
Several tasks given in assessing detailing understanding related to the students’ final project in their Design Studio module. This is to encourage students creativity and intelligently use combination of MATERIALS in interior detailing and clarify the understanding on the construction method that been taught in previous lecture the previous assignments knowledge will be.
Learning Outcome:
On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to:
CLO 2: To analyze, select, specify and annotate materials finishes & fitting to a scheme of a proposed design intent in a creative and individual way.
CLO 3: Demonstrate the ability to produce a cohesive presentation of the selected material and finishes scheme and concept via a material sample board or via digital technology.
Requirements:
All drawings must be CAD drawn and submission must be complete with measurements, scales, & specifications (COMPLY with Design Studio Boards on the review day).
Submission:
Refer to weekly plan each of the submission date.
Portfolio submission:
To be submitted a week after review (date to be advise later):
i. Original works of Journal Book;
ii. ALL Assignment 2 and Final Assignment (A3s) to be bind with cover;
iii. A3 size colour photograph of your sample board finishes, to be bind together in (ii) above required;
iv. Original Board of your sample board.
Task:
1. Select TWO (2) elements of design proposed from your final design Studio

PLAN, ELEVATION, CROSS-SECTION, BLOW-UP DETAILS complete with
specification on an A3 size paper.
1a) Select ONE (1) interior construction detailing which the detail chosen
consists of an interesting design feature complete with FLOOR, WALL &
CEILING joineries.
1b) Select ONE (1) outstanding and dominant design of your FURNITURE
from your final project.
2. Student need to produce SEVERAL A3 size of Material Inventories report of
the project. List of your selected interior or building materials and finishes in
the inventory form. Refer to the format / example at the end of this brief.
3. Student need to produce ONE (1) A3 size sample board finishes Baseboard
(WHITE COLOUR) has to be thick enough to SUPPORT the sample of
materials chosen. Your layout composition should be systemically
arranged, labeling, & the clarity of information has to be neatly presented
including the proposing title of the Project and areas selected
